About the Speaker

Jeannette Baca

Dr. Jeannette Baca holds both a doctorate and a master’s degree in counseling and is a retired associate professor of counseling and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in New Mexico. She has served the counseling profession extensively in leadership and ethics roles, including as President and Ethics Chair of the New Mexico Counseling Association and as a member of the ACA Ethics Committee for several years. Dr. Baca also served on the 2014 ACA Ethics Revision Task Force and is currently a member of the ACA Ethics Revision Task Force.

Dr. Baca has taught at the University of New Mexico, Eastern New Mexico University, and New Mexico Highlands University, and she continues to provide professional development for counselors, social workers, and other mental health professionals. She is currently a part-time instructor in the University of New Mexico Continuing Education program, where she teaches ethics courses.
