About the Speaker
Laurie Persh
Laurie Persh, LCPC, LMFT, CCMHC, past President of the Washington DCMHCA; recently appointed Parliamentarian for AMHCA’s board; has worked in a variety of settings for over 40 years across a continuum of care. Ms. Persh has expertise in trauma, grief, and loss; family systems, work-life balance, and cross-cultural counseling. Ms. Persh has presented numerous workshops locally to globally. Her current focus is on helping up and coming counselors through training and supervision. She has been an active member of several national and local professional counseling associations and boards; and is working on a joint task force with AMHCA and IAC on ethical international guidelines for Telehealth.
