River (Misty) Ginicola
Dr. River (Misty) Ginicola, Ph.D., LPC (she/they) is a Professor of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern Connecticut State University and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Their teaching and scholarship focus on liberation and multicultural counseling, as well as trauma-informed, decolonized healing practices. Dr. Ginicola leads the program’s ethical AI integration initiatives and recently piloted AI-assisted pedagogy across multiple graduate counseling courses.
