About the Speaker
Yegan Pillay
Yegan Pillay’s academic preparation include a Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision (Ohio), M.Ed. in Counseling (Ohio), B.A. Honors (Psychology, UWC, South Africa), and a B.A. (Psychology & Sociology, UWC, South Africa). Dr. Pillay has served in leadership roles related to human rights and global issues within the American Counseling Association, the Ohio Counseling Association (President 2017-18) and internationally. He is licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor with training supervision designation and is a counseling psychologist in South Africa. He is currently active as: a clinical mental health therapist, a clinical supervisor, and a professor. Dr. Pillay’s grant and research related activities, which undergirds his current scholarship, highlights the intersection of health psychology, mental health issues, and clinical supervision in the United States and internationally.
