Ghazaleh Shokouhaghaei, MA, LMHCA, CCC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in Washington state and a Canadian Certified Counselor. Her work integrates clinical mental health training, suicide prevention, peer-support program leadership, lived experience, cultural humility, and research-to-practice translation. She has experience supporting adolescents, young adults, and individuals experiencing intense emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, and self-harm. Through her work with Now Matters Now, Ghazaleh has been involved in suicide prevention education, peer-support group development, volunteer and staff training, and the translation of research and lived-experience-informed knowledge into practical resources. She is passionate about helping counselors translate research-informed concepts into compassionate, accessible, and actionable strategies for everyday clinical practice.
