About the Speaker
Sherri Sedler
PsyD
Dr. Sherri Sedler, PsyD is Assistant Professor and Program Director of the School Counseling Program at Alliant International Univeristy. She is a psychologist, counselor educator and mental health professional with extensive experience in school-based community mental health, crisis intervention, suicide prevention, trauma-informed care and rural behavioral health systems. Dr. Sedler co-owns a community mental health practice serving children, adolescents and families and has led countywide behavioral health and crisis response initiatives. Her scholarship focuses on translating evidence based practices into practical strategies for mental health professionals. She is currently co-authoring a professional book on suicide prevention, nonsuicidal self-injury and school crisis response.
