About the Speaker
Calvalyn Day
Calvalyn Grace Day is a former counselor and current business coach and fractional director of operations with more than a decade of experience at the intersection of mental health, education, and private practice development. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling and Counselor Education from IUPUI and is a Trauma-Informed Certified Coach (ICF).
Calvalyn's work in the counseling space began where it often does — with family. Over 14 years ago, she helped her sister build what is now a thriving practice that has served more than 20,000 sessions, generated millions in revenue, and is on a mission to reach 50,000 Black families. That experience ignited a passion for helping other counselors build practices that are not only clinically excellent, but financially sustainable.
As a single mother of four and the founder of a multiple six-figure coaching practice, Calvalyn has lived the tension between purpose and burnout — and built her way out of it through practical systems, smart automation, and a CEO-level mindset. She has presented at national and state conferences including the Ohio All Counselors Conference, the Indiana School Counselor Association Annual Conference, and the National Trauma-Informed School Conference, reaching thousands of professionals across the country.
Today, Calvalyn coaches therapists and private practice owners to simplify their business models, add scalable income streams, and build practices that support the lives they actually want to live.
