Kemmel Palmer
PhD
Kemmel Palmer, PhD, LLPC, CCC, is a counselor educator, researcher, and licensed professional counselor. As a practitioner, he specializes in school-based mental health services for adolescents from marginalized and underserved communities. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School, where he teaches graduate counseling courses and supervises counselors-in-training. His scholarship focuses on multicultural counseling, counselor education, social justice advocacy, and ethical, culturally responsive practice. Through his research, teaching, and clinical work, Dr. Palmer is committed to translating evidence-based practices into meaningful strategies that improve outcomes for diverse populations.
