About the Speaker
Minjoo Kang
Minjoo Kang, MEd is a doctoral student in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at the University of Iowa and brings extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and their families across school, hospital, and community settings. Her research focuses on strengthening school mental health by empowering parents and families through evidence-based counseling interventions and fostering collaborative partnerships among schools, families, and communities. Minjoo has coordinated multiple clinical trials focused on youth and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges, supported by national, regional, and international grants, reflecting her commitment to culturally responsive, evidence-based practice and her capacity to lead complex, multi-site research initiatives.
