Jennifer Young
Associate Professor
Jennifer Young is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Master Certified Addiction Professional, and Qualified Supervisor in Florida with over 15 years of clinical experience. She specializes in counselor education, supervision, and culturally responsive training practices. Dr. Young has developed models that address microaggressions and support professional identity development among counselors-in-training. She has held leadership roles in nonprofit organizations and Fortune 50 companies, and her work has been published in leading journals and presented at national and international conferences. Dr. Young is currently an Associate Professor at the University of the Cumberlands, where she trains future counselors and supervisors with an emphasis on ethical practice, resilience, and inclusive pedagogy.
