Jennifer Young, PhD

Jennifer Young, PhD is an Associate Professor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Addiction Professional, and Qualified Supervisor in Florida with over 15 years of clinical experience. She has held leadership roles in nonprofit organizations and Fortune 50 companies, specializing in counselor education, supervision, and clinical training. Her research spans trauma, substance use, online learning, and ethical technology use in counseling. Her recent work explores adapting traditional mental health interventions for commercial spaceflight and other high-risk, extreme environments. Jennifer has published in leading journals, presented at international conferences, and serves as a reviewer for professional publications. She previously directed a Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision program, leading curriculum design and accreditation. Dedicated to innovation and mentorship, she continues to bridge clinical practice, education, technology, and space-focused mental health research.
