Dr. Lynn Jennings, PhD is a licensed professional counselor supervisor (LPC-S), and licensed sex offender treatment provider supervisor (LSOTP-S) in the state of Texas. She is the Assistant Program Director and Instructor at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Clinical Mental Health Program. In addition, she and her husband, Stephen, have been in private practice for 20 years. Her primary therapeutic focus is in the area of child and adolescent sexual abuse, childhood trauma and neglect. She was awarded Outstanding Faculty of the Year in 2024 for the Clinical Mental Health Program at TTUHSC, and the School of Health Professions Dean's Excellence in Teaching Award in 2023. She was inducted as a Distinguished Graduate at West Texas A&M University in 2017 and was awarded the Bridge Builder Award for meritorious service to the children and multidisciplinary team in the top 26 counties of the Texas panhandle through The Bridge Children's Advocacy Center, also, in 2017. She has co-authored several articles and book chapters on the subjects of marriage and family therapy, middle school bullying, crisis intervention, child trauma, court testimony for counselors, and secondary traumatic stress in the helping field. She is a co-editor on a private practice textbook, Building a Private Counseling Practice: Nuts and Bolts of Running an Ethical and Profitable Business, which was published by Cognella Academic Publishing Company in October 2024.
