About the Speaker
Crystal Hatton
Assistant Professor
Dr. Crystal Hatton is an assistant professor in the Department of Counselor Education and Family Studies at Liberty University where she teaches graduate students in the school counseling program. Prior to becoming a counselor educator, Dr. Hatton was a school counselor for 13 years. She earned a B.A. and M.Ed. from the College of William and Mary and an Ed.S. and Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Old Dominion University. Dr. Hatton currently serves as the Chair of ASCA’s Position Statements Committee and is an Executive Board member for the Virginia Association for Counselor Education and Supervision. She is passionate about serving students in schools and has presented at various conferences for school-based mental health professionals.
