About the Speaker
Katlyn Kegley
Katlyn "Katie" Greene Kegley is a Licensed Professional Counselor (Virginia), a Resident in Counseling (Virgina), and a doctoral candidate studying Counselor Education and Superivision at Liberty University. Katie is currently completing her dissertation on suicide attempts in children and the professional implications on school counselors. Her educational background includes a Psychology B.S. from James Madison University, an English B.A. from James Madison University, and a M.S. in Counseling and Human Developement from Radford University. Katie was priviledges to serve as a school counselor for approximately a decade in the Blue Ridge region of Virginia. Currently, she is a Behavioral Health Therapist for Emergency Departments helping patients in crisis as well as a Resident Outpatient Counselor for an agency located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
