Tracey M Duncan

Associate Professor of Counseling

Dr. Tracey M. Duncan obtained her Ph.D. from Drexel University in Couple and Family Therapy (December 2009), an Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) in Marriage and Family Therapy (May 2006), and a Master of Arts in Counselor Education (MA, May 2004) from The College of New Jersey. Dr. Duncan is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Substance Abuse and Addictions Counselor. As an academic leader and instructor for marriage, couple, and family counseling within counselor education, Dr. Duncan aims to model cultural reflectivity and transparent self-exploration regarding how cultural, faith, and social justice variables have implications for systemic (family) functioning. Moreover, her teaching and administrative leadership in higher education are governed by the goal of creating a systemic learning environment (a transformative learning lab) that encourages students to appreciate the learning experience and gain a sense of belonging to the collaborative teaching-learning process. Dr. Duncan has been a guest lecturer, workshop presenter, and affiliate faculty member for various national and international conferences and learning institutions.
