Amy R. Work, LCMHC-QS, RPT-S is the founder and owner of Renewed Counseling & Play Therapy in Charlotte, NC, where she treats children, teens, and adults facing a variety of issues including anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and behavioral concerns. Amy is currently pursuing her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her research interests include the developmental process of beginning counselors and supervisees, Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT), ADHD, and parent consultation in play therapy. As a former public high school teacher, Amy chose to become a counselor after witnessing many of her students struggle with mental health. She continues to support high schoolers as an Advisory Board Member of FOR Students, an organization dedicated to preparing students to become resilient and healthy adults.
