Dr. Cecily Batiste Dawson is a licensed professional counselor, LPC Supervisor, and EMDR Consultant based in Texas. With a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, her work bridges clinical practice and research, specializing in trauma and race-based trauma among Black Americans in the South. Known for her culturally grounded, trauma-informed approach, Dr. Cecily trains and equips mental health professionals through reflective supervision, continuing education, and research-based workshops. Dr. Cecily is passionate about transforming systems of care and empowering counselors to address identity, power, and systemic harm in the therapy room.
