Cristy Martinez, MA LPC-S

Cristy Martinez is an LPC in Texas, who specializes in working with sex trafficking survivors at Family Counseling Services, a training facility for counseling interns. Cristy has developed presentations for counselors-in-training and LPCs on best counseling practices for survivors of trauma and how it presents behaviorally.
Ms. Martinez is an Assistant Professor for the Department of Behavioral Scienes at Lubbock Christian University teaching undergraduate psychology courses. Ms. Martinez is passionate about using the field of psychology to bridge the gap between behavior and human connection.
Conference presentation topics include impacts of trauma on the brain and body; support for helpers and counselors who work with vulnerable populations. Ms. Martinez is also in private practice at Mind Works Counseling Services specializing in working with men; first responders; and veterans. She is also a doctoral student at Colorado Christian University.
