Ericka Cables

Ericka Cables, Ph.D., LPC, NCC, ACS is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and an approved supervisor in Missouri. She also holds additional credentials as a nationally certified counselor (NCC) and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). She serves as an Assistant Professor at Webster University and is the founder of the Institute of Cultural Wellness, LLC. (formerly Thoughts Out Loud Counseling).
She has nearly a decade of experience in the mental health field as a counselor educator, trainer, researcher, clinician, and supervisor. She is an avid proponent of community-based partnerships and successfully secured several to mitigate mental health needs for underresourced populations. She has conducted numerous presentations in the local St. Louis community, as well as on a national level.
Dr. Cables is trained in TF-CBT and EMDR. Her current research interests include resilience, professional identity development, and clinical supervision.
