Farhana Sabri, PhD

I am a counselor educator at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) and hold a license as a counselor, possessing over 15 years of experience in clinical supervision, counselor education, and mental health advocacy. I completed my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Kent State University, Ohio, and held the position of Graduate Student Representative for the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES) during the 2014–2015 academic year.

I offer a distinctive combination of global perspective and local insight, informed by my training in the U.S. and my extensive involvement in Malaysia's multicultural counseling environment. My expertise encompasses supervision in resource-limited environments, virtual and hybrid counseling frameworks, and culturally responsive methodologies. I am committed to integrating ethical standards with practical application, and I continue to mentor, train, and supervise counselors in diverse educational and clinical contexts in Malaysia.
