About the Speaker
Halima Dargan
Dr. Halima Dargan (she/her) is a licensed professional counselor and clinical supervisor in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Louisiana. She has her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, as well as a Masters & Bachelors from Xavier University of Louisiana. Dr. Dargan has significant experience working with children and adolescents, working as a school counselor and clinical director in community mental health and an independent clinician in private practice settings. She is also an active member of multiple professional counseling organizations. Her research interests include advocating for wellness and self-care amongst mental health professionals, de-stigmatizing mental health in black communities, and mentoring and supervising counselors in training & new counseling professionals.
