About the Speaker
Kait Deitz
Kaitlin Deitz, PhD, LCADC, is currently a full time professor at Rutgers University in the Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Counseling Professions. Prior to her role as an educator, Kaitlin worked for 10 years in the addiction counseling field in all levels of outpatient care with nonprofit organizations. In 2018, Kaitlin piloted the implementation of the STAR grant in Monmouth County to address the opioid epidemic in the field as opposed to in the office. Kaitlin eventually became a supervisor and director of outpatient services prior to and during the COVID-19 epidemic. Kaitlin now teaches counselors-in-training in a CACREP-accredited counseling program.
