Katherine Helm
Katherine Helm, PhD
Katherine Helm, PhD is a professor of Psychology and Director of Graduate Programs in Counseling at Lewis University, Romeoville, IL. She is also a practicing psychologist in part-time private where she sees individuals and couples. Katherine has authored several publications about racial and cultural issues in mental health, couples’ issues, and pedagogy in multicultural courses and has an extensive background facilitating counselor trainings. She served as the Interim Chief Diversity Officer at Lewis University for approximately 2 years and currently serves as a diversity (DEI) consultant for multiple academic, counseling, and healthcare agencies. Katherine has had several media appearances on radio and video and is a TEDx speaker. She is a sought-after author, presenter, public speaker, professional trainer, and clinical supervisor.
Kimberly Duris, EdD, LCPC, CADC, Professor of Psychology
Dr. Kim Duris is currently the Training Director of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and the Program Coordinator of the Advanced Training Program in Addictions. She is also the Clinical Director of Guidling Light Mental Health Agency. She has an extensive background in teaching, presenting, providing CEUs for profressionals in the areas of clinical supervision, addictions, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Ethical issues in Counseling.
