About the Speaker

Rosina Mete

Dr. Rosina Mete is the President of the CCPA Counsellor Educators & Supervisors Chapter, a Registered Psychotherapist (Ontario) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. She is also a Board Member of the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention (CASP). She has clinical experience in community health, hospital, and academic settings and has worked as a mental health researcher and consultant for over ten years. Rosina presently works at Yorkville University. She has won awards for her educational and clinical work. Her recent accomplishments include publishing her dissertation research regarding the impact of social support on emotional well-being among a chronically ill population (COPD) in an Ivy League academic journal. Her research interests include emotional well-being, stress management, social support, and workplace mental health. Her educational credentials include a BSc in Psychology from Carleton University, an MSc in Clinical Mental Health Counselling and a PhD in Leadership and Policy, both from Niagara University.
