About the Speaker

Taylor Orlandoni, LMHC, LPC, MEd, MA

Adjunct Instructor

New York University

Taylor Orlandoni (she/her) is a mental health and professional counselor with over 5 years of licensed clinical experience. As a white queer woman in her twenties, she holds predominantly privileged identities. The visible aspects of her identity afford her certain privileges, which shape how she is perceived and the power she is granted in her roles as a practitioner, educator, and researcher. While her sexual orientation has been a source of internalized shame and stigma, exposing her to minority stress and harmful rhetoric that delayed her understanding until adulthood, she recognizes that this has largely been an internal experience. She remains deeply aware that her privileged identities have a more significant impact on how she navigates professional and social spaces. In her clinical work, she draws from a feminist and multicultural approach to integrate psychoanalytic frameworks in ways that meaningfully engage with her clients' diverse lived experiences. Taylor approaches her work with a commitment to reflexivity, equity, and fostering inclusive clinical and educational environments.
