Christine Coenen, LPC

Christine is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Christine received her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2022 from Southern New Hampshire University. She has experience working with individuals and groups, and is passionate about helping people get through stressful challenges. Christine utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person centered, and Eye Movement Integration approaches, as well as others to meet the needs of her clients. She has extensive training in Autism and Trauma. She has supported adolescents and adults diagnosed with ASD Level 1, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, depression, anxiety, anger issues, as well as other issues. Prior to entering the counseling field, Christine spent almost 30 years in the Information Technology field. Pursuing a career in the psychology field has also been a desire for her. When her 14-year-old son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 1, she realized that her desire to help others like her sons was her calling. She want back to school in her mid-40s while in the middle of a divorce, working full-time, and raising 2 boys to complete her master's degree. She has a passion for helping others with mental health issues, especially those dealing with Autism, ADHD and trauma.
