Duchana Gille, MA, LAC, MHC, NCC

Duchana Gille resides in Hawthorne, New Jersey, and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Montclair State University in 2015 and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University (CCU) in 2022. She is currently a third-year doctoral candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at CCU. She currently works at Wellsprings Counseling Center, LLC, as a Licensed Associate Counselor (#37AC00713200) in New Jersey and a Mental Health Counselor-Limited Permit (#118776) in New York, and is also a National Board Certified Counselor, Inc. (NCC; Certificate #1650129). Being passionate about instilling hope in others, Duchana partners with clients to find meaning, purpose, and fulfillment in their lives. She strives to help others discover and utilize their strengths in their journey to wellness. She is passionate about providing culturally attuned care to diverse individuals and is especially sensitive to the challenges of immigrants, first-generation Americans, African Americans, and those of Afro-Caribbean descent. She values and respects the individuality and uniqueness of each person and is unafraid to embrace cultural differences. Her clinical focus includes treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, grief and loss, spiritual concerns, relationship issues, womens issues, and self-esteem issues. Duchanas research interests include multicultural counseling, mental health concerns of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) individuals, and religious/spiritual integration in mental health. She recently co-authored a book chapter on counseling individuals and families of Jewish descent for the text Social, Cultural, and Christian Integration in Counselor Education. She has presented at multiple national and international conferences, such as the ACA Conference, ACES Conference, the APA Conference, the Law and Ethics Conference, and the Benjamin V. Cohen Peace Conference.
