Katie Thomas, M.S., LMHC

Katie Thomas, M.S., LMHC has a Master of Scient in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University Maryland and is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Ms. Thomas has spent most of her career working with young children and their protective caregivers. She specializes in dyadic play therapy trauma processing after sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, and other traumatic experiences. Ms. Thomas has a particular expertise in utilizing telehealth for play therapy and working with educators to create trauma-informed classrooms. Ms. Thomas is the Assistant Director of Field Education in the Counseling and Behavioral Health Department at William James College. She is a member of the American Counseling Association. Ms. Thomas is a board member for the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association (MaMHCA). She is the Chair of the MaMHCA Fundraising Committee and the Co-Chair of the MaMHCA Annual Conference Committee.
