Michael Lovato, MA, LMHC, NCC, is a second-year doctoral student in Counselor Education at The University of New Mexico. Guided by a multicultural and social justice framework, he is dedicated to addressing disparities among underserved and underrepresented populations. Michael works as a Mental Health Counselor at Engage & Ignite Counseling and serves as a Graduate Assistant at The University of New Mexico. His research interests include multicultural counselor education and training, dynamics in clinical supervision, and LGBTQIA+ issues within military and veteran populations.
